Preseason is used for Priesthood Commemoration.
- We recommend this be used as a Father and Sons (or kids) activity for your stake.
- This is primarily used as a service opportunity to get camp ready to go for the Summer.
- You will have access to the camp starting Friday night at 3:00pm
- You will be able to utilize the cabins onsite, but the tents will not be set up yet. If you plan to use the cabins, you will need to bring a foam pad of some kind as the bunk beds are wood. You are welcome to bring your own tent to put up if you prefer.
- The high adventure items and kitchen WILL NOT be open to use.
- You are able to bring in any cooking equipment you would like including a smoker, BBQ, kitchen trailer, etc. The fire pits are also available to use.
- The flushing toilets and running water WILL NOT be open to use. There are outhouses to use for the bathroom.
- On Friday we want you to enjoy, but Saturday we ask that you assist us in a service project to get Camp Stimson up and running for the summer. Some tasks you may be asked to do are set up tents, cut wood, assemble new furniture, clean up winter damage, etc. This service is vital to getting Camp Stimson up and running for youth camps, so we are so grateful for your help!
